In this chapter I would like to give you a quick overview of some of the types of stone that we have available. Our stocks are mainly the original stone as it arrives with us. We then supply the stones as per order so that if a customer wants purely a feature rock then we supply it straight away. Alternatively, is somebody is looking for a natural rock water-feature then we will drill the chosen rock to the customers requirements at our site. We will supply a customer anything from just the feature rockupto all the elements required for a complate water-feature set up. We can also give guidance for the appropriate reservoir, pump and suitable pebbles to decorate the reservoir. If we can help you with any steps to choosing a feature rock then please get in touch by phoe or email and let us see how we can guide you to the feature that you have been looking for.
Fossillised Wood

One of the hardest materials that we work with, but ultimately one of the most stunning as a water feature is fossilised wood. Simply Natural import our pieces directly from Japan and other Asian countries where this material originates from. Fossilised wood is, as the name would suggested segments of trees that have turned to stone over millions of years. As European prehistoric trees turned to coal due to the climate in our hemisphere so alternatively the trees in Asian forests kept their form and the remains are incredibly hard feature stones that have retained their shapes and when cut the age rings can still be seen. Our showroom has many examples of these pieces ranging from just a few inches tall to over 10 feet high and weighing over 1.5 tonnes.
Marble

Natural Marble Rocks are imported from Indonesia and China and tend to be a rounder shape than that of the fossilised wood. The colour of these stunning stones is usually a dark brown and these rocks often have amazing ridges along them that has been worn by thousands of years of running water gradually carving shapes into the stone. Our range varies between small pieces from around 60kg up to large specimen pieces that weigh over 3 tonnes and make exceptional corporate features.
Quartz

We have several examples of quartz stone in stock, these make unusual and fascinating feature stones. This type of rock is a bit more scarce than the fossilised wood and marble pieces, but we have a variety ranging from 40kg up to the largest pieces of approximately 400kg. On these feature stones the front tends to be exposed to show the quartz crystals whilst the backs retain their original smooth stone face.

Welsh slate monoliths are the traditional features that have been available for several years, our range consists of monoliths between 2 feet long to around 6 feet high. We have however commissioned pieces to order that have been over 15 feet high and weighed 12 tonnes. We also have smaller pieces that are available in bags that are suitable for aquariums and as decorative pieces (see aquarium rocks) and slate chippings for a base covering.
